Testing? Me too.

Every day I wake up, put on some clean clothes, go to school, and worry about my upcoming quiz or test. Then I repeat this the next day. And the next. And the next. And the next. You get the picture.

Between Pre-IB, standardized testing, and AP testing, I have a test practically everyday. In fact I had two quizzes today!

By the time all of us students get to the last class, we're left feeling overwhelmed, stressed, confused, worried, and tired. This is awful and it has been happening to every single one of us every single day these last few weeks. Even the teachers are starting to notice a difference in how we respond to them.

All of us sit there and stare lost in an adventure in our heads. We forget the answers to questions, are distracted by other classes' homework, or talking to our friends.... about another test. We're working so hard at school that we don't have time for anything else. School is fun and all but this definitely takes away time from everything else. When we get home after all these hard days, the most we can do is nothing. We can't do homework until the next day. We can't study until the next day. We can't even bring ourselves to eat. We can only think about how tired or stressed we are because of all this school work.

I'm sure there are some of you going through this same thing right now in this crazy season before summer.

I have good news and bad news. Bad news first, I honestly have no solution to this tiredness and stress other than it will be over soon. Maybe you should consider dropping something but that's your choice. God's in control and He knows you are trying your best. The good news is you are not alone in this struggle of too much testing. As teens, most people our age are in school of some sort. God has given you friends that are more than happy (even when they don't seem like it) to deal with a little bit of venting or just holding your hand, helping you through it. They are going through the same things you are. Sometimes the only thing you can do is depend on them while they depend on you (and God of course).

So testing is hard blah bah blah blah. At least you have friends going through the same tests you are. If not, I'm sure they would love to hear your voice as you freak out about your next test.

It's easy to feel like we're all alone in this stress but that's not true. If you're feeling stressed, tell your friend. Ask them for help. It might be hard but in the end you'll be smiling. Remember, you only have a little while longer until summer is here!
